Runners Connect Webchat with Matt Phillips about his latest article on Running Injury Myths.
This month’s webchat is all about Running Injury Myths, those pieces of anecdotal ‘advice’ that are at best doing nothing and at worst potentially making your injury worse. It’s a favorite topic of mine and was a pleasure to talk about with the enigmatic Tony Pallota of Runners Connect.
For those of you who are unaware, as well as working with injured runners in clinic, I am also a writer for Runners Connect and have done so for quite a number of years. Modern technology means I now get the pleasure of talking about my monthly articles via webchat from the comfort of my own living room.
This Running Myth Website is bound to ruffle a few feathers, especially if your therapist or coach has been telling you something I discredit in the webchat. But hey, life is all about learning and evolving, which is especially the case when it comes to treating and reducing the risk of running related injury, so do please feel free to leave comments below.
The article itself can be read HERE on Runners Connect, a site that (though I am obviously biased) continues to offer top grade articles, advice, coaching and online courses with input from not just myself but also esteemed folk such as Greg Lehman, Bryan Heiderscheit, Peter Larson, Irene Davis, Jay Dicharry and Dan Lieberman.
Happy Listening!
